INFORMATION:

Contrary to what you might read or hear, WD40 does not cause jet ski engine hoses to swell or soften. WD40 is composed primarily of 50% aliphatic hydrocarbons, 25% petroleum base oil, and 25% various additives, like most of its competitors.

It is true that previously WD40 was responsible for swelling or softening of rubber (hoses and other parts) due to the presence of silicone in its formula. However, since January 2007, silicone is no longer part of its composition; therefore, there is no longer any problem using this product on our engines.
